Department of Microbiology was started in the year 2023. The department has been steadily developing with improved infrastructure and laboratory facilities to support quality education and research. It focuses on teaching fundamental microbiological techniques and concepts, enabling students to gain practical skills and scientific understanding. With continuous advancements in laboratory practices and learning resources, the department aims to nurture competent students and contribute to the expanding field of microbiology.

To be a center of excellence in microbiological education, research, and innovation, producing competent graduates who contribute to healthcare, industry, agriculture, and environmental sustainability.

The Objectives of Department of Microbiology are:

PO 1: Disciplinary knowledge: Acquire detailed knowledge and expertise in all the disciplines of the subject

Lab Facilities

The Microbiology Laboratory of the Department is well equipped to support undergraduate teaching, practical training, and basic research in the field of microbiology. The laboratory provides students with hands-on experience in microbial techniques, sterile handling, and identification of microorganisms.

The lab is designed to maintain a clean and safe working environment and is equipped with essential instruments and materials required for microbiological analysis and experimentation. Students are trained in culture techniques, staining methods, microbial identification, and maintenance of laboratory safety protocols.
